Manolo, climbing pioneer, 50 years old, 9a/+

Italian Maurizio "Manolo" Zanolla yesterday climbed (second try) Bimbaluna, 9a or 9a+, at St Loup, Switzerland.

He tried the route one year ago, for a few days and before Christmas for three days.

And Gabriele Moroni, another Italian but much much younger, has climbed SS 26 in Gressoney, 8c+/9a.
