Profile Information:
CLIMBING areas, even far from my location, NOT convenient for me to meet climbers, but that I can give informations about
I am pretty knowledgeable about climbing in Korea, Thailand and the USA, some about Vietnam, Europe.
My preferred climbing areas
have climbed all over the world. . . love to explore new places and return to old favorites!
My climbing experience
With some breaks (for breaks-- I tend to break bones on a regular basis!), I have climbed, on and off, from a few days a year to obsessively-compulsively, for 23 years?
Climbed all over the USA, in particular in Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, S. Dakota, but also in Tennessee, Texas, Wisconsin, Illinois, Kentucky, Alabama, Pennsylvania, Washington, Idaho. . .
In Europe I've climbed in the Gorges de Verdon, Meteora, Arco, and on artificial walls in Austria and Slovenia. . .
I've also climbed in Morocco, Jordan, Vietnam and (mostly Mountaineering) in India and Nepal. Oh, and of course Thailand and extensively in KOREA!

Amazing yes. . . I am curious about the constuction and changes. . . last Feb it was impossible to get away from the noise, sanitation was aweful and many people got sick! it has changed so much over the years (I've gone about 6 times? from 1998-2007 and I get a little sad these days:( ) Of course, the climbs are still amazing, over the water. . . but the debris washed up on the beach with the tide. . . I have to say it detracted from my enjoyment, as did the barges on the beach . . . blah:(
Vietnam! I am psyched to explore virgin territory, and get back to a laid back community like Tonsai last millenium. . . should you find your way back to Asia. . .
Sonja, if you like vergin places, go to Madagascar!!! I have been in Tonsai in 2001 and in 2005 in Mada... it is fantastic! If needed, I can give you some names and good contacts to spend very little and stay well
Ei Cocun ! You have been in Madagascar too ! So now You have to give "names and contacts" not only to Sonia, I hope, but to all the (not so big) 9b comunity !!
What do you think about it ?
I run to open a discussion forum dedicated to Madagascar ... please, write in that forum Your informations!
