Yay! I can almost make an italian sentence. I don't actually have Skype. But I took Spanish in university and I speak French pretty fluently, so actually I can understand simple phrases in Italian. I'm trying to learn Korean and eventually if I ever have time, I want to learn some Chinese. Italian will probably have to wait until I move to a country where Italian is used. ): Maybe soon. I think I have to get away from Asia.
there is some cool sport stuff in Alaska, but nothing spectacular. the rock is pretty crumbly. There is potential for some world class bouldering though, if the weather was a little better.
Yeah, It's a mad photo. It was in my tent after a ridge walk. A good laugh!
To get the rock picture uploaded I used the edit page appearance tab. Go to "theme settings" and at the part where it says page, there is an option to upload a photo. It takes a minute or two, but it's worth it.
Great Idea for a site! I can't belive no one thought of it before.
If I can figure out the email on here i'll try to send you the rock photo.
Nice site you've made. I didn't really climb in Siberia, though I spent many summers in the Altai mountains. Oddly enough, my climbing started in Ohio.
If anyone is interested in climbing in Siberia, Stolby near Krasnoyarsk would be the place to visit. Their climbing community exists for >150 years.
thanks!
there's a train from oslo to trondheim and further to hell (only 25mins away from the city), i think it's around 300NOK (40€).
since hell is only 5mins away from the airport, taking a direct flight from italy to trondheim is sometimes the cheapest and definitely the fastest option. i took a direct flight torino-trondheim with Norwegian, and there are also some direct flights from venezia/roma/cagliari/pisa sometimes with SAS and Norwegian.
there's no campsite at the crag, but in Norway you can put up your tent anywhere (for example under the most overhanging routes, where it's dry even when it's raining). and there's even a toilet there.
the guidebook is not on the net, but it's possible to order it online (i think) although it's a quite heavy book with all crags in our area.
a car is not necessary if you're in touch with some climbers here! -and it's only 15mins walk to the airport, gas station and 10mins walk to a supermarket.
Hell is definitely the best crag here for sport climbing, but there are other interesting crags too, although then you need a car.
I don't have the copyright for the guide book, so I can't publish anything, but the guide book is in combined Norwegian + English. Examples from the book:

http://home.no.net/larsnorn/forer/side/126.jpg

You may buy the guide book from here: http://www.vpg.no/eshop/pub/engine.php?id=267 (350NOK = ca 45€).
There are about 100-150 routes in Hell, I guess. Don't know if it's easy to rent a bike there, but it's really not necessary when it's so close. You should walk/run and get exercise - we are the Viking country, you know... Hehe.
If you go Bergamo-Oslo for 10€ then I guess that's the cheapest. Then you might go with train or bus to Trondheim, and then by airport bus to our airport, only 15 mins walk from the crag. Or you might call some Norwegian climbers when you're here, we have cars and bikes and guide books.
Train Oslo-Trondheim can be ordered from
http://www.nsb.no/?lang=en_US
for 299NOK if you order early (i.e. at least some weeks before).
Woops, this shop is cheaper (300NOK): http://www.oslosportslager.no/product/2732/7887/421474/Tindegruppa_NTNUI__Klatring_i_Trondheim__klatref%F8rer.html
...the websites selling these books are all in Norwegian, sorry. Tell me if you need help.
Most of the routes in Hell are quite difficult (Norwegian grades 8-9-10 i.e. French grades 7b-8c+) so I actually don't know many climbers to make videos of, for these routes. At the moment I'm also full-time worker so I should climb more than making guide books. But the authors of the book are very satisfied with it, so maybe they wouldn't see the point of making a new one :)
If you wanna see, I have a couple of short videos from Hell:
Himmel (7b): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m4pwqGJjGEk
Rå nytelse (7c): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSi2XfL3shM
Anyway, thanks for offering the lulu possibilities, and welcome to Hell ;)
Just added a vidoe of my first real bouldering problem of the year. Don't know if I got the grade right, It's ungraded and i'm no expert. Check it out! It's quite original!
Take care!

We'll see when my budget's back up for a little trip down south...
Hi 9b, it was a motorcycle accident 3 years ago. i was a bit messy for a while. All fixed now.
Gonna be flying into bergamo next friday and heading straight up to bellinazona. If you are gonna be around and able to guide three amigos write me. We want to climb in chironico and cresciano mainly (maybe a day in magic wood?!?)
cheers
Hi 9b, I just sent you an email. I just don't yet know what pieces of information get displayed on the open profile yet so that is why I didn't post my birthday. I just turned thirty. Is leaving comments here the way you would prefer to communicate?
Hi ! well, If you want to start recording your own videos I recommend you to buy a cheap and easy to use handycam. I have a Sony Handycam, its very small and easy to use.
This web site is such a nice idea. I hope more people will join us. But it's already good site, the links to the videos in the groups are very usefull ( i've just watched all the movies from Albarracin's ones).
You must spend a lot of time doing it. Keep on working.
HI there :-) thanx for leaving a comment.
I'm just playing around with my profile page and must say well done, its fun!!!
Well in Split closest climbing area is Marjan, 30min walk from city.
