I'm pretty sure the easyest way to get to Cala Gonone from Cagliari is by car - of course you can rent one at the airport terminal - but I got not idea about the cheapest company, perhaps Europcar, either Hertz, you can take a look there!
Find the most cheap and comfortable accomodation in Gonone means to call +39 078493213 and rent an apartment, ask for 'signora Cenza' . It will costs 15 euro/day per person.

I just realized to forgot some points: this is not a prerequisite, though I recommend you to book a car, you'll safe some money! Again, don't try for alternatives to travel throughout Sardinia, they simply don't exist!

certainly u will find a bus from nuoro to sassari, though I warmly recommend u to verify beforhand what time it does go. Be aware if your fligth is on sunday there'll be very few trip (presumably no more than 1 or 2..). Cheers
