My climbing experience

I began climbing over 30 years ago and have developed many traditional and sport routes since then.

My best achievement in whatever kind of climbing I did

The best thing I ever did climbing was to retreat from near the top of West Face of Squaretop in 1988. My friend wore cotton clothing and we were trapped by a storm. He ended up with hypothermia and we had to rappel from our own gear anchors 900' in the dark. We made it down. That was my best day. Staying alive and making it home.
