Erto sport climbing AREA
Crag with historical significance.
Erto is famous for its large number of difficult (steeply, overhanging, powerful) routes, but there is a "no big" sector suitable for beginners (many pitches grades 4 and 5).
Large overhanging rocks protect climbers in case of heavy rains (no in "No Big" sector).
Some of the routes a bit slippery.
Number of routes: > 160
Difficulty: from 6a to 9a (mostly 7 and 8)
Orientation: south
Altitude: 780m
Lenght of pitches: from 10m to 35m
Best period: except the coldest days of winter, all the year.
Getting there:
from Cortina, take State road 51 ("Alemagna") southbound.
Once in the town of Longarone (49 kilometers, about 30 miles from Cortina), take state road 251, following the signs to the Vajont dam.
Right after the dam, the crag is evident to the left (approach: 1 minut)
About 50 minutes from Cortina.

27crags, climbervoice, 8a and many others are amazing sites, but sometimes, expecially if you worked a lot to envision, bolt, clean routes or boulders, you want to monetize a little your efforts.
9b can help you in this aim.
As you can see here, in 9b there are many " topo groups ".
You can add a discussion in every "topo group".
In your discussion you can edit and publish your own climbing topoguide, as a "paywall", a "destination page", requiring climbers their payment by credit card or paypal to access and read, even on SMARTPHONES (iphones, android phones, ...)
After having paid, climbers can see, save and print your climbing topoguide.
In this discussion you can add:
1) PHOTOS regarding one specific SECTOR (of routes or bouldering, dws lines)
a) "PHOTO topo":
It's very easy to edit a photo topo:
- upload a photo of a rock in a topo group discussion
