Best crags depend on when you go and what you like.

It would be a shame to go and not do a desert tower-- but if you are not used to this kind of climbing (rock can be very sandy and loose!!), start VERY easy !

Castleton and the Fisher Towers are famous and amazing. . . other towers can be climbed in Arches National Park about 5k north of Moab (though the city keep growing-- it may be closer now!)

If you LOVE cracks, there are hundreds or thousands of nearly parallel cracks for every had size and then some-- bring every cam you have and all your friends' friends !

Lots of tape and some burley boots for the fist+. Mill Creek Canyon just behind Moab is good for the summer-- it's fairly cool-- and has bolted sport routes on limestone.

There's bouldering in several places, and drive-up short sport and crack along Potash Road. . . OH-- but in the sandstone, even the pins and bolts aren't super reliable.

ake all the fixed pro with a grain of sand. . . be redundant, bring a helmet ...

You can get books in Moab -- visit pagan Mountaineering, back of Beyond Bookstore. . .

27cragsclimbervoice8a and many others are amazing sites, but sometimes, expecially if you worked a lot to envision, bolt, clean routes or boulders, you want to monetize a little your efforts.

9b can help you in this aim.

As you can see here, in 9b there are many " topo groups ".

You can add a discussion in every "topo group".

In your discussion you can edit and publish your own climbing topoguide, as a "paywall", a "destination page", requiring climbers their payment by credit card or paypal to access and read, even on SMARTPHONES (iphones, android phones, ...)

After having paid, climbers can see, save and print your climbing topoguide.

In this discussion you can add:

1) PHOTOS regarding one specific SECTOR (of routes or bouldering, dws lines)
