VALENCIA

Airport located approximately 7 Km from the city.
From the airport to to the city centre 15/20 min:
take the metro (1.70 euro) or bus (2.50 euro), operated by Aerobus from outside the terminal building, line 150 connects Valencia airport with Valencia bus station (Avda menéndez pidal 11 Tel: [phone]), where the Alsa-coaches depart.

From Valencia there are buses to Montanejos (7 euro 1go), Chulilla, Bunol, Alicante (17 euro 1go).

MONTANEJOS

90 km from Valencia,
20 km from the last train station (Caudiel)
BUS valencia-montanejos: Avda. Menéndez Pidal, 9 Tel. [phone]).
The bus stops in Jerica (where there are rock crags), Benafer, Caudiel, Montan, Montanejos Gas station.
Monday-Friday: from Valencia 10:00*, 16:30. From Montanejos 06:30, 13:00* (* Only the Thursdays).
Sundays and festivals: from Valencia 20:00, from Montanejos 16:45.

Most important climbing area around Valencia, huge possibilities, ideal for sport climbing and multipitch routes too.
Every kind of climbing: overhanging, slabs, ...
Number of routes: 1.700, from 5a to 9a.
5a-6c+: 50%, 7a-7c+: 35%, 8: 5%.


Best period: march to october. South sectors in winter. In summer You can choose the sectors in the shade and swim in hot springs.

It offers a dormitory (12 euro with breakfast + 6 euros with dinner too) or a little (max 4) tents space (7 euros each).

In the village of Montanejos You can buy food and water.

Climbing areas:

• Barranco de Maimona (more than 400 routes).
Park at the entrance of Barranco itself and follow the path along the river.
There are many sectors, famous 200 meters big walls too.

• Estrecho del Mijares (more than 300 routes), from the village towards Puebla de Arenoso. The narrow pass is 2 kms from the village.

• La carretera de Montán, with 100 routes, in the first 3 kms of the route Montanejos-Montan, from Montanejos.

• other sectors: Campo de Tiro, Observatorio y Morrón.

CHULILLA

60 kms from Valencia.
BUS from Valencia ... 3 hours !! It stops in all little villages (plan the trip in a rest day ...), but it costs just 5 euros.

Best period: winter
Almost every kind of climbing.
The acces to routes is very short.
More or less 370 routes, de V+ a 6c+: 70%, de 7a a 7c+: 14%, de octavo: 2%
